What it means
Static load is the weight an object can carry while it is sitting still. Nothing is moving, nothing is bouncing: it is simply the steady weight resting on a shelf, a drawer, or a frame. When a spec sheet gives a static load rating, it is telling you how much you can pile in and leave there without the part sagging or straining.
